Section 151 (S151) officer return for financial year 2025 to 2026

Submit your section 151 officer return

This form is to certify that your local authority has met the required terms and conditions for grant funding provided by the Department for Education (DfE) in financial year (FY) 2025 to 2026 and provide your schools financial value standard (SFVS) statement.

Use this form to:

  • provide SFVS data and details of any non-compliance by your maintained schools
  • supply your spend details for each grant in your local authority schedule for financial year 2025 to 2026
  • provide details of unspent grant funding that may be recoverable by DfE
  • provide details of any instances of fraud or theft

Complete this return for the financial period of 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 on or before 5 June 2026. You can edit and resubmit until this date.

You must complete a separate sub-form for each funding grant listed in your local authority schedule before you can submit your overall section 151 officer statement declaration and finish your local authority's full return.

The section 151 officer can complete the mandatory declaration only after all sub‑forms have been completed, submitted and cleared of any issues.
